About the shop
More than 35 years on Date Palm.
A neighborhood barber shop for the Coachella Valley. Traditional and modern cuts, hot lather shaves, and a low-key room.
How the shop runs
Denny's Barber Shop has been cutting hair in Cathedral City long enough that regulars still talk about the same kind of service: a proper cut, a hot towel, and a neck and shoulder finish. Bryan runs the shop. Robert is the other chair people ask for by name.
The room is low-key. You can walk in on a weekday afternoon and often sit down without a multi-day wait. That is the point of a neighborhood shop on Date Palm Drive, between Converse and Oasis, with parking in the lot.
If you are coming from Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage, or Palm Desert, it is a short drive and the prices stay in the old range.
What people notice
Reviews mention a relaxed vibe, no blasting music, and no feeling of being rushed. Cuts often include a hot towel and shoulder work. The shop is walk-in friendly and keeps the classic finish.
What regulars say
Relaxed vibe, no blasting music, no feeling of being rushed. I use Bryan and the rest of the chairs are excellent at the craft.
Regular, Cathedral City area
Walked in on a Thursday afternoon, no wait. Robert gave me the cut I asked for, plus a hot towel and shoulder massage.
